Choosing a Facial Plastic Cosmetic Surgeon
What is Facial Cosmetic Surgery
When Does OHIP Cover Facial Plastic Surgery
The type of anesthesia used for cosmetic surgery will vary depending on the particular procedure you have requested, your general health, and other factors.
All facial cosmetic surgeries can be performed on an outpatient basis.
This means that, barring any complications, you will be able to go home after you have had time to recover.
The recovery time may be just minutes for minor facial procedures like lip augmentation with an injectible filler or up to two or three hours for more complicated surgeries like a facelift.
Anesthesia can range from a sedative and local anaesthetic injections to general anesthesia, where you sleep through the entire operation.
Again, the choice usually varies with the type of the procedure you have, though in many cases Dr. Moore will offer you more than one option.
All of Dr. Moore’s surgeries and other minor procedures are performed at the Woodfield Surgical Centre or St. Joseph’s Hospital.
